Looking at the editorial board of The Penmen Review, I noticed your profile and wondered (because of your location) if you ever got to meet my late friend, the wonderful Mitch Jayne. Mitch was, like me, a writer and musician — and an exceptionally good person.
Not wanting to influence the editorial board (except with my writing craft), I will submit to The Review under a pen name.
I did not have the pleasure or privilege of meeting your friend, Mitch. It sounds like a loss to me.
Please don’t feel you have to sensor any information about the submission process on my account. I always vote on ethical measures. I always try to leave tips or encouraging words as well. There are a lot of submissions, and although someone might present excellent work, that doesn’t mean they will win that coveted spot.
If at any time, you need advice, please don’t hesitate to ask. I love helping out. If I don’t know, maybe I can point you to a website. Of course, the tables could be turned here, and you would be the one offering advice. Perhaps I spoke too soon. 😀
